Installation of industrial lighting fixtures

The assembly of industrial lighting fixtures in installations placed in steel pipes is performed, screwing the tube into the threaded inlet of the housing. In sealed installations, the ends of the steel pipe are covered with a sealing substance (e.g. crowd), wraps with hemp and screwed into the housing hole. To facilitate the assembly and disassembly of luminaires mounted on walls or ceilings and to avoid disassembly of pipes when disassembling luminaires, you can use a stub pipe with a thread at both ends. Screw one end of the stub into the inlet hole, and the other - into a muff screwed on the end of the pipe or into a threaded hole in a cast iron box.

For powering pendant luminaires, which may fluctuate under the influence of wind, wires with stranded conductors should be used (e.g. LY itp.), because solid conductors would break due to rocking. These wires should be bent into gentle loops, hanging below the luminaire inlets, to prevent rainwater from running in through the cables into the luminaire. Waterproof luminaires, powered by cable wires, in rooms that are humid or exposed to the chemical action of water, they must have airtight cable entries. Sealing is made by means of glands and rubber seals. When installing sealed fluorescent luminaires, the fluorescent lamps must be carefully sealed with rubber rings and gland screws, with which these fittings are equipped. Luminaire power cables should be cut with a reserve for length (in case of breakage). Wires coming from the ceiling and the luminaire should be approx 10 cm. They should be arranged in loops of a shape that allows them to be covered with a rosette.
